Episode 16. "Escape"with Ashley Sutherland of Choose Film

All the way from Scotland, today's guest-host-body is Ashley Sutherland, actor, life coach, and cohost of the great Choose Film podcast. Ashley and I had a terrifically fun conversation about a couple of serious movies, both centered around the theme of escape.

Ashley's up first with her choice, Room, from 2015, starring Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay. Aaron follows that up with The Shawshank Redemption, box office flop and perennial 'best movie of all time' according to iMDB users.

Episode 15. "Man Vs. Machine" with Gary Hewitt of Choose Film

It's another plus-sized episode this week, befitting our special guest. Joining me all the way from Scotland this week is one half of the great Choose Film podcast, Gary Hewitt. Gary finds himself acting as my host body this week as we chat about a bunch of Man Vs. Machine films. This is actually the opening episode of a special two-parter, and I'll be speaking with his cohost next week.

Episode 14. Zombo Italiano with Bunnicula Blanc

Bunnicula Blanc plays host body today as we discuss a pair of Italian zombie movies that almost bookend the golden age of Italian zombie flicks.

Up first is Michele Soavi's Cemetery Man, or as it's also known, Dellamorte Dellamore (Of Death, Of Love). A darkly comic mix of zombies, sex, and Gilliamesque flights of fancy.

We follow that up with a discussion of Lucio Fulci's over-the-top gorefest, The Beyond (AKA Seven Doors of Death, though please don't watch the film if it bears that title, you'll get a highly watered down American version). The middle film of Fulci's seminal Gates of Hell trilogy, The Beyond is a singular piece of filmmaking from the acclaimed horror director.

This is another slightly longer episode, but we're talking about two movies we both have a great affinity for, so we had a lot to say.

Episode 13. "Found Footage" with Jacob Davison of Eye On Horror

This week's guest host body is Jacob Davison from the Eye On Horror podcast. Together we sit down and discuss a pair of found footage horror films. First up is J-horror staple Noroi: The Curse from director Koji Shiraishi. Then we follow that up with a discussion of Australian mockumentary Lake Mungo, from director Joel Anderson. And of course we finish up with our top 5s of the week.

New year, new episode, New Mutants!

Episode 11. "Cartoon Christmas"

It's a special holiday episode this week, wrapping up our string of Christmas movies. Joining me today, as guest and host body, is my partner Amber Keplinger. They've been mentioned plenty times on the show, and they're making their debut today to discuss a few animated Christmas tales, old and new.

The Incredible Two-Headed Podcast goes international, as our holiday series continues with Angus Lost, joining us all the way from Japan. Together we discuss a pair of dark Christmas tales with some fairly dark interpretations of Santa. Aaron makes at least one blasphemous statement about a beloved recent Christmas classic, and we talk about Batman a lot more than you might expect. And then we follow it up with our top five dark Christmas movies.

This week officially brings us into the holiday season with an extra-large episode, as The Incredible Two-Headed Podcast begins a string of holiday episodes. Kicking things off today is Cory Pilawski, and together we discuss a pair of adaptations of Charles Dickens' classic.

Cory brings The Muppet Christmas Carol to the table, and I subject her in turn to a perennial favorite from childhood, Scrooged. We follow that up with a discussion of our go-to Christmas movies; movies we watch every single year around this time.

Aaron chooses the 2001 film Happiness of the Katakuris, from gonzo auteur Takashi Miike as his "monstrous" musical, while Zeke sticks closer to the topic at hand with the 2015 fantasy/horror/musical The Lure, from Polish director Agnieszka Smoczynska.
