Each week your host Aaron Lowe awakes to find his head grafted onto the body of another cinephile. Not in place of their head, just next to it. Together they are given a note with an oft-cryptic topic scrawled on it, and must each pick a movie to discuss that fits that topic. Who is doing this and why? Don't ask us, we just work here. This is... the Incredible Two-Headed Podcast!

Episode 36."Guns, Guns, Guns" with Rik Tod Johnson
Saturday Jul 10, 2021
Saturday Jul 10, 2021
Summer is here, the world is on fire, and to help you all stay cool we're sticking to the shadows this year. It's Summer in the Shadows here at the pod, as we begin our long series on film noir. Joining us today for the first entry is our old pal Rik Tod Johnson.
We're talking guns today, with discussions on the Alan Ladd/Veronica Lake hitman flick This Gun For Hire from 1952, followed by the highly suggestive Gun Crazy from 1950.

Episode 35b. "Odds and Ends" with Rik Tod Johnson and Dolores Quintana
Saturday Jul 03, 2021
Saturday Jul 03, 2021
It's takin' care of business time here at the Incredible Two-Headed Podcast, and this week we've got a short filler episode to explain what's going on with the podcast these days. We've got big plans for the summer and we're previewing them here in a brief chat with our old pal Rik Tod Johnson.
After that, I threw in a little bonus deleted scene from last week's episode with Dolores Quintana. Our discussion about the self-censorship of streaming platforms led to a pretty interesting tangent about William Friedkin, The Exorcist, and the hypocritical morality of CBS procedurals. It was great stuff, but the episode was already going long and I figured we should just get to the movie discussion a bit quicker. So here it is now for your enjoyment!
We'll be back next week with a regular episode, the beginning of our Summer of Darkness series.

Episode 35. "Nuns" with Dolores Quintana
Sunday Jun 27, 2021
Sunday Jun 27, 2021
An episode months in the making! An episode so massive it took two weeks to edit!
Dolores Quintana (finally) joins me to discuss a pair of crazy nun dramas. Up first is Black Narcissus, from the incomparable team of Powell and Pressburger. After that we discuss Ken Russell's shocking, too-hot-for-Warner Bros portrait of the downfall of Urbain Ganier; The Devils.
This episode was a lot of fun to record, and we each had a lot to say, so instead of editing it down or splitting it into two, I'm just releasing the whole thing as one file.
Dolores Quintana is a writer whose works appear in Nightmarish Conjurings and Fangoria,

Episode 34. "Stunts" with Johnny Duarte
Monday Jun 14, 2021
Monday Jun 14, 2021
Johnny D. makes his triumphant, long awaited return to The Incredible Two-Headed podcast, bringing with him a topic, and a favorite movie.
It's all about stunts today! Stunt performers, impressive stunts, stunt-heavy movies, movies ABOUT stunts, we cover it all. Well, mostly we cover the 1978 Burt Reynold's comedy Hooper, and the 2007 Quentin Tarantino oddity Death Proof. But we talk about that other stuff, too.

Episode 33. "Master of May-nace Roundtable Wrap up
Saturday Jun 05, 2021
Saturday Jun 05, 2021
You probably thought that our Master of May-nace series was going to end in May, didn't you? Well, you were wrong!
It's a special post-May wrap up for our monthlong tribute to the one and only Vincent Price! And joining me for this special meandering conversation are friends of the show J. Carlos Menjivar of the Dial F For Film podcast, and Rik Tod Johnson!
It's a particularly focused episode this time, as we talk about Vincent Price and nothing else! There are certainly no discussions about the viciousness of Moose, bloody SNL skits, or how we remember the word 'onomatopoeia.' Save those digressions for bonus episodes, we're laser focused on this one!

Episode 32. Master of May-nace: "1959" with Bunnicula Blanc
Sunday May 30, 2021
Sunday May 30, 2021
Here it is, the penultimate episode in our monthlong tribute to Vincent Price.
Bunnicula Blanc returns to the show to discuss a pair of movies from the year 1959, which was a busy year for Vincent. Up first his House on Haunted Hill, one of two successful collaborations with William Castle. Following that we discuss The Bat, another whodunnit which shares a lot of similarities with House on Haunted Hill.

Episode 31. "Faux Poe" with Sir Hatchporch
Friday May 21, 2021
Friday May 21, 2021
Welcome back to our monthlong tribute to the Master of Menace, Vincent Price. It's the Master of May-nace month here at the Incredible Two-Headed Podcast!
One of the most well-known parts of Vincent Price's career was his string of Roger Corman directed adaptations of Edgar Allan Poe stories, and no discussion of his career would be complete without bringing up those classic films. So of course, we won't be discussing them today!
Instead, we're focusing on two films that tried, in one way or another, to piggyback off of the success of that cycle of films. Up first, The Haunted Palace, titled after the Poe poem, but in actuality based on the Lovecraft story The Case of Charles Dexter Ward. After that, we discuss the classic British horror film The Witchfinder General, which was retitled in America to The Conqueror Worm.

Welcome back to Master of May-nace, our monthlong tribute to Vincent Price!
Things are a little different this week, as we discuss three, count 'em three movies! And only one of them stars Vincent Price! What's going on?
What's going on is that we're discussing all three filmed adaptations of Richard Matheson's novel, I Am Legend. The first of those, The Last Man On Earth, starred Vincent Price as the titular last man. After that we've got Charlton Heston in The Omega Man, and Will Smith in I Am Legend.
Which film will come out on top? Listen on to find out!

Friday May 07, 2021
Master of May-nace month begins here at The Incredible Two-Headed Podcast! Or, should that be May-ster of Menace? May-ster of May-nace? No, that's just silly.
Whatever you want to call it, it's our month-long tribute to the one and only Vincent Price! We've got a lot of movies to talk about so let's just jump right into it here, with returning guest Rik Tod Johnson. Together we discuss a pair of landmark films in Price's horror career, 1971's The Abominable Dr. Phibes and its sequel, 1972's Dr. Phibes Rises Again.
